A riot had just chased Paul out of Ephesus. Death threats followed him from city to city. He was exhausted, and somewhere in the Aegean a ship full of people wanted him dead. So what did Paul do? He kept showing up for the church — encouraging the discouraged, risking his life to deliver an offering to the poor, and teaching until midnight (and then until daybreak) because he loved the people of Jesus' church.
