We all face negative situations: sickness, money troubles, people who let us down. How can God use them for good? In Acts 21:37–22:29, Paul shows us. Beaten by a mob and arrested by Roman soldiers, he turned the worst day of his ministry into a bold testimony for Jesus. He accepted his suffering as part of God's plan and seized the chance to speak. He built common ground with his angry audience, gave God the credit for his changed life, and even protected the soldiers who were about to flog him. When we respond to hard times the same way, God can use our worst moments to point people to him.
