What Does The Bible Say About Happiness?

Blaise Pascal said, “All men seek happiness.” Thomas Aquinas, the most influential theologian of the Middle Ages, said, “No one can live without delight, and that is why a man deprived of spiritual joy goes over to carnal pleasures.” God created us with a longing to be happy. To satisfy that desire, people stuff almost into their life in search of pleasure. What does the Bible say about our craving for happiness and how can we find lasting happiness that doesn’t expire? Join us to learn what the Bible teaches us about happiness and where to find it.

Mark 12:18-27 - The Resurrection Is Better Than The Joy Of Marriage

On November 14, 2004, 6-year-old Alex Malarkey was with his father as they drove home in rural Ohio. When his father made a left turn, their car collided with oncoming traffic. The impact of the crash detached Alex's skull from his spinal cord. Alex lived but he awoke from a coma two months later as a quadriplegic. When he awoke, he began telling his parents about visiting heaven, seeing Jesus and angels that intervened in the car accident to save his father's life. Tyndale House published a book about Alex's trip to heaven claiming it was a true story. It sold over a million copies. Unfortunately Alex later admitted that he made everything up to get attention. Millions of people were deceived by his fictional stories about life after death. Is there a way we can know what lives beyond the grave? Can we know with certainty that there is life after death? Join us as we discover the certainty and joys of the resurrection.

Malachi 1:1-5 - When Times Are Tough, What Should I Do When I Don't Feel God's Love?

Where is God? That question came from the mouth of a Christian living in a refugee camp in Erbil, Iraq. He and his family ran for their lives as ISIS overran their homeland. Overcrowding in his refugee camp turned it into a viper's pit of criminal activity. His wife and children are not safe. Where is God when Christians languish in dark and hopeless conditions? These are the same questions God's people asked in Malachi's day. Join us as we begin answering the question of what we should do in hard times when we don't feel God's love.

1 Timothy 4:1-5 - Why Must I Savor Earthly Pleasures?

When God gives you a better car than you expected or you find yourself with a nicer home than you planned, do you feel guilty? Do you wonder if you are enjoying too much pleasure and not living with a wartime spiritual mindset like a good follower of Christ? In this study we learn why God is more glorified when we enjoy the gifts he provides rather than abstain.

Doctrine - Christian Living

Pastors and Christian counselors are approached every week by people with problems. Some are struggling with an alcohol addiction, men are struggling with internet pornography, women are struggling with materialism. While everyone needs help, the real issue for these problems is much deeper. Most of our struggles come from worshiping the wrong thing! When we worship Christ, most of our problems fade away. Join Dr. Trucksess as we learn how what we worship determines how we live.
